5. Scope Specifics

Radial Trenching

Spoke-like trenches (4" wide, 8-12" deep) radiating from trunk. Maximizes soil volume coverage.

Vertical Mulching

Discrete, isolated bore holes (18-24" deep). Good for minimal surface disruption.

Root Collar Excavation (RCX)

Exposing root flare to inspect for girdling roots and decay. Essential for tree health.

Surface Air Tilling

Shallow cultivation (6-8") to incorporate amendments across the CRZ without deep excavation.

Deep Decompaction

Fracturing compacted soil layers at depth (12"+) to improve drainage and root penetration.

Utility Potholing

Vertical plunging to safely expose buried utilities without risk of damage.

Construction Piers

Excavation 12" wide by 24" deep (or more) for support structures. Preserves roots while enabling construction.

Horizontal Excavation

Routing utilities under/through root systems without damage. Requires surgical precision on heritage trees.

6. Treatments & Add-ons

Preferred application for trees suffering from heavy soil compaction, root severance, drought stress, or general environmental abuse.

Learn how MitoGrow works (Technical Deep Dive)

Endogenous Hormone Production: Uses the natural Acid-Form of Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) within a patented formulation. Unlike soluble salt-based forms that wash out easily, this Acid-Form stays in the root zone longer. Both IBA and IAA remain active in the plant, supporting natural root initiation.

The "Bacillus Engine": Contains Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, a rhizobacteria that produces IAA from root exudates (Tryptophan), creating a continuous "endogenous" hormone loop.

Synergy with STIM: When paired with STIM Pellets (seaweed-based prebiotic), the survival rate of these beneficial bacteria multiplies, and the Cytokinin balance promotes shoot growth once roots are established.

  • Transplant Shock: Rapidly restores hydraulic conductivity by forcing root hair proliferation.
  • Drought Resilience: Bacterial biofilm acts as a hydrogel, retaining "Green Water" against the root surface.
  • Hardwood Success: Provides the auxin "kickstart" that Oaks and Maples often lack for regeneration.
